Las Vegas Readiness Center
Nearly 400 Nevada National Guard soldiers from a half-dozen units regularly utilize this facility to train and prepare for wildfires, floods and other natural disasters. Pace Contracting Co. was proud to be the General Contractor on this project serving the men and women who serve our country.
The 79,000 SF mixed use armory/office/training facility is constructed of CMU, with pitched metal roofs, concrete decks and features providing a secure force protection building envelope. It was designed and constructed to meet the requirements of the National Guard’s SPiRiT program and would meet the equivalent rating of LEED Gold. The features incorporated in the project to meet those requirements included environmental control and monitoring systems, light timers and motion sensors, natural lighting, thermal massing for temperature control and reflective roof membranes.
The Las Vegas Readiness Center was a successful project for Pace Contracting Co. that was completed on time without non-scope addition related changes. It now effectively serves the satisfied clients at the Nevada National Guard and Nevada State Public Works Board.
